Denside Holiday Cottage - Gardenstown, Northeast Scotland.

Situated on the Banffshire coast with breathtaking views out over the Moray Firth, Denside Cottage which sleeps 4, is a comfortable home-from-home located a short distance from the sea shore. Gardenstown is a beautiful sleepy little village, seemingly unbothered and unhurried by the hustle and bustle of the world. A traditional Scottish fishing village; the nearby harbour provides a colourful display of small fishing boats and leisure craft. Gardenstown's main street is nearby, which has a small collection of shops, including a bakery and general store, a butcher shop, a post office and a small hotel and bar.

Gardenstown is the ideal place to get away from it all. Such a picturesque village is a natural attraction for artists, photographers and for anyone looking for some peace and quiet. The cottages and houses of Gardenstown are built onto the hill spreading up from the harbour, near to the road which zig-zags its way to the top. Convenient to get to (Aberdeen is 45 minutes away) and close to the shops and restaurants of Macduff and Banff; in Gardenstown you can sample seclusion without feeling cut off!

Denside Cottage is situated in a peaceful, friendly cul-de-sac, only 30m from the sea and approx 50m from the main street of Gardenstown It is an original nineteenth century Fisherman's cottage. The cottage provides the perfect retreat for anyone looking for an escape from day to day life. There is no traffic noise.
Denside cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double bed with large electric shower and the other with two single beds, as well as a sitting room, bathroom (with Jacuzzi bath) and an dining kitchen. There is also a large storage cupboard as you come in the front door suitable with lots of hanging space/suitcases etc. Maximum occupancy is for four adults. A travelling cot can also be made available for a small child on request.

From the property you can look across the beach to More Head in the distance and high on the hill the ancient cemetery of St Johns.

Unlike many buildings which are modernised and can lose their charm, we have tried to keep the cottage in as original a state as possible. The doors have low headroom, a steep stairs leads to the bedrooms upstairs, with the main bedroom off the stairs. The lounge has a real fire which is very cosy in the cold evenings.

However, although you are stepping back in time, we realise that comfort comes first so you will find all modern facilities are available including a television with Freeview, DVD player, a stereo system, and there is electric heating in the four main rooms.

Electricity and all bed linen are included in the rental and there is a landline phone within the house for incoming calls.
